Located in the Marais district, near the Temple Square and one of the best shopping streets of Paris (the rue de Bretagne and its many bistros, trendy cafes, caterers and food shops), 2 minutes walk from the Marché des Enfants Rouges (the oldest market in Paris), 5 minutes from the Carreau du Temple and its terraces of lively restaurants, the rue des Francs Bourgeois and its fashion boutiques (open even on Sundays) and 10 minutes from Picasso Museum and Place des Vosges ...

We love to get lost in the cobbled streets of this neighborhood nicknamed "Old Paris".

We go there to discover sumptuous hidden courtyards, to find bakeries with walls covered with ivy, provocative art galleries, improbable designer boutiques. We also go for history, museums, for perfumers, for bars, for second-hand clothes.

The Marais is also ten minutes from all other typical neighborhoods of the city (the Champs-Elysees, the Opera and Galeries Lafayette, the Bastille, the Louvre, St Germain-des-Pres, Ménilmontant ...). .

OUR GOOD ADDRESSES:

FOOD :

- The Marché des Enfants Rouges: 39 rue de Bretagne the oldest market in Paris, created in 1615. This market is not to be missed! True invitation to travel with its colorful stands and delicacies everywhere, but also invitation to table with fresh products all more appetizing than each other.

- Monoprix supermarket

164 rue du Temple 75003

- La Fougasse Bakery, 25 rue de Bretagne

- All merchants of the rue de Bretagne

- Florence kahn:

24 rue des Ecouffes75003

You have to go, either to have a delicious Pastrami sandwich, or to make all the necessary provisions for a delicious Yiddish meal! Ground beef, aubergine caviar, peppers, tarama, pickelfleish, pastrami, beef tongue, gefilte fish, herring, pickles, onion bread, bagel poppy, strudel and cheese cake ... all you need for a wonderful one-way trip to Eastern Europe's Jewish gastronomy.

A delight!

RESTAURANTS:

- The restaurants of the Marché des Enfants Rouge (Lebanese, Italian, North Africa, Japanese, ...)

- The pizzeria al Taglio

27 Rue de Saintonge (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)

Pizzas at the cut, weight to eat on the spot or take away.

A deliciously crispy dough, various and divine fillings. We recommend the pizza with truffle cream. There are also Nutella pizzas for dessert

- The As of Fallafel:

34 rue des Rosiers 75004

It's a must, the best falafel in Paris.

Breizh Café Creperie

109 rue Vieille du Temple (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)

Large selection of cakes and pancakes, all original and excellent. To avoid Sunday

- Rose Bakery

30 rue Debelleyme 75003

Cakes to die for, a cheese cake absolutely fabulous we also recommend scones, eggs Benedict, juices. Nice atmosphere, but a little expensive.

CAFES and BARS:

- The Pearl

78 rue Vieille du Temple 75003

Trendy Café du Marais. It was here that Galliano was filmed with antisemitic remarks. It is a very populated coffee day and night, always with a good atmosphere, in an old zinc formica decor.

Progress

1 rue de Bretagne 75003

"The bar / brasserie of the trendy youth of the Marais at cocktail hour.

The terrace is superb to see and be seen.

Of course you can eat (I recommend the croques sir ... excellent !!) at reasonable price.

The King of Spades

126 rue du Temple 75003

The corner bar. Perfect for a drink on the terrace at the end of the afternoon

The apartment is very well connected by public transport, it is located at République metro station (Lines 3, 5, 8, 9)

Many bus stops also directly serve the typical districts of Pigalle, Champs-Elysees, Opera And the Galeries Lafayette or Louvre-Rivoli, all within a dozen minutes.

You can of course prefer the bike, thanks to the self-service bike station "Vélib", located a few meters
